Get the game

The links open on an outside file host. Every host has the same files; use whichever works for you.

Install with the installer

1. Download the installer and start it.
2. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC", because the file is not signed. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
3. Choose a folder you may write to, for example C:\Games. Do not use "Program Files".
4. When it has finished, start the game from the "Darkeden Oldschool" shortcut on your desktop.

Install from the zip file

1. Download the zip file.
2. Right-click it and choose "Extract All". Put the folder on your Desktop or in Documents, not in "Program Files".
3. Open the folder and start "DarkEden Launcher.exe".

First start

1. The launcher checks for updates by itself and downloads what is new. Wait until both bars are full.
2. Pick your screen size in the launcher, then press START.
3. Sign in with the account name and password you made on this website.

If something goes wrong

• Your antivirus removes or blocks the game: add the game folder to its list of allowed folders, then start the launcher again. It repairs missing files.
• The game closes by itself: start "DarkEden-safe.exe" from the game folder instead, and send us the file "DarkEden.log" from that folder.
• A download link does not work: try the other host.
• Found a fault in the game? Report a problem
• Anything else: ask in the help channel on our Discord.
